Sort & Settle does not collect any data about you. Not a little, not anonymised, not “for analytics”. None.
Nothing.
The app has no networking code in it. There is no account to create, no email address to give, no advertising identifier, and no analytics or crash-reporting software of any kind. It works entirely on your device, and it works with no internet connection at all.
The app saves your progress — which level you are on, the board you have in play, and your settings. This is stored on your device.
If you are signed into iCloud, that same small amount of information is also stored in your own private iCloud account, so you can start a puzzle on one device and pick it up on another. It goes to Apple’s servers, under your Apple Account. The developer of this app cannot see it, access it, or retrieve it. This uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
If you are not signed into iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for this app, everything works exactly the same — your progress simply stays on the one device.
If you buy the full version, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. The app asks Apple whether your Apple Account owns the product and receives back yes or no. The developer never receives your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account information.
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either. There are no ads, and there is no way for anyone to contact anyone else through it.
The Settings screen contains three links that leave the app: an email link for sending feedback, a link to this page, and a link to the App Store listing. There are none anywhere else, and none during play.
Deleting the app removes everything stored on that device. To also clear what is stored in your iCloud account, use Settings → Start over inside the app before deleting it.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here and the date above will change. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, that would be stated plainly here first.
